Participation Council

The Participation Council (MR) is the official consultative body for parents, students, and staff at the school. We contribute ideas and make decisions on important matters such as school policy, safety, educational quality, and the allocation of school funds. Our goal is to represent the interests of everyone within the school community and to ensure good and open communication between the school, parents, and students.
The Participation Council consists of elected representatives of all stakeholders and works constructively with the school management to make the Murmellius Gymnasium even better.
SOVON has a Joint Participation Council ( GMR ).
The GMR consists of a delegation from the board's affiliated schools (staff, parent, or student representatives). In principle, the GMR consists of sixteen members (of whom 8 are teachers, 4 students, and 4 parents).
Student Council

The Student Council is the voice of the students at Murmellius Gymnasium. We strive for a better school by discussing student ideas and feedback with the school administration. Whether it concerns school rules, facilities, activities, or the school climate, your opinion counts! The council consists of elected students from various classes and works together to make the school even more fun and better for everyone.
All students at Murmellius are automatically members of the student association. The students are represented by the student council.
The student council consists of a board of 4 members.
Parents' Association

As parent(s)/guardian(s), you have automatically become a member of the parents' association of the Murmellius Gymnasium. The parents' association requests a voluntary contribution of €20 per year for membership. This money is used to pay for numerous things that make education even better; teachers can apply to the parents' council for a subsidy for extra activities.
The school has no further control over these funds and acts merely as treasurer. The voluntary contribution requested by the parents' association is therefore not included in the parental contribution.
The Murmellius Gymnasium has an active parents' association that is involved in various educational and social activities.
