What do you need at the Murmellius Gymnasium?

Are you becoming a Murmelian too?! Below is an overview of the supplies you need from your first day of school.
Required learning materials and planner (Intermezzo & Class 1)
It is important to know in advance that our students are required to use a Murmellius planner, which they will receive on the first day of school. Therefore, you do not need to purchase a planner.
Supplies to be purchased separately:
Notebooks (lined paper and graph paper 1cm x 1cm)
Pencil case containing, among other things, pens, at least one 2H pencil and a number of colored pencils, a ruler, compass, and set square.
Dutch Dictionary
Indoor gym shoes (no black soles)
Outdoor sports shoes without studs suitable for artificial grass
In addition to the above, we recommend purchasing a non-graphing calculator.
Bicycle:
It is necessary for every student to have a bicycle at their disposal at school for physical education classes and activities taking place at locations outside the Murmellius Gymnasium. Students traveling by public transport can park their bicycles at school. The bicycle may remain at school until the summer holidays.
Buying a new laptop?
Are you looking to purchase a (new) laptop for your child? Here is some practical information.
At Murmellius Gymnasium, we expect our (new) students to have their own laptop.
When purchasing a laptop, please pay attention to the following minimum requirements:
Windows 11
internal memory (8-16 GB)
storage (128 GB).
Battery life of at least 8 hours
Weight: under 1.5 kilos
Impact and drop resistant
You can purchase such a laptop yourself; it is also possible to purchase a laptop via CampusShop including a service subscription. Are you unable to purchase a laptop for financial reasons? Then please contact the year group coordinator Sam Muntjewerf at mun@murmellius.nl before the start of the summer holidays.
Call for canteen and/or media library volunteers
The school canteen and media library are open daily and are (partially) managed by volunteers. You can sign up as a volunteer for the canteen or the media library. For questions about the media library, please email: mediatheek@murmellius.nl.
